Dr. Isabella Steffensen
Dr. Steffensen is a former biomedical scientist with a PhD in cell biology. She obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from the University of Ottawa, where she graduated cum laude. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship with a leading neurologist at the Ottawa Health Research Institute where she performed research on stroke and spinal cord injury. As the head of Thera-Business for the past 13 years, she has obtained extensive experience preparing regulatory documents, medical education literature for physicians, professional journal publications, and health research reports for government agencies. Dr. Steffensen has also been an External Clinical Reviewer for the Common Drug Review, Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health, since 2005. She is the Past President of the Canada Chapter of the American Medical Writers' Association (AMWA), and has received certificates in editing and writing, and in pharmaceutical writing from AMWA.
